Where is Car Rent-Smesh located?
Car Rent-Smesh is based on Tsereteli Avenue in Kutaisi, Georgia (postal code 4600, Imereti region). We also collect guests free of charge from Kutaisi International Airport (KUT), roughly a 25 to 35 minute drive from the city centre, and deliver the car to any address inside Kutaisi on request. What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum rental period is 2 days. We count full 24-hour periods from the moment you collect the car, not calendar days. The rate is €32 per day for rentals shorter than 5 days and €29 per day for rentals of 5 days or longer, with full insurance included.2 days minimum.

When does my rental period begin?
Your rental period begins the moment you collect the car, whether that is at our Kutaisi office, at Kutaisi International Airport or at a delivery address in the city. Are you open daily?
Yes. We are open Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 22:00 and on Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00, Georgia Time (UTC+4). Do you offer rental with driver?
Yes, rental with a driver is available on request. Tell us your dates and planned route when you book on WhatsApp and we will confirm availability and the price. What cars do you have available?
We run a fleet of approximately 8 Subaru Forester SUVs: all-wheel drive, automatic transmission, gasoline, 5 seats, 5 doors and high ground clearance. Every car is kept in excellent condition. We do not rent other models, because the Forester is the practical choice for Georgian mountain roads such as Svaneti, Racha and Kazbegi.

What if I want to extend my rental?
Extensions are available on request and subject to availability. Send us a message on WhatsApp at +995 591 21 21 01 before your rental ends and we will confirm whether the car is free for the extra days. The additional days are added to your existing booking and settled directly with the owner.  

What are the driver requirements?
The main driver must be at least 22 years old and hold a valid driving licence issued at least 2 years ago. Bring the licence plus a passport or ID when you collect the car. Full insurance is already included in the daily price, and no deposit is blocked on your credit card. Minimum age 22+, valid driver's license with 2+ years experience. Car is fully insured.

How many passengers can the car accommodate?
The Subaru Forester seats 5 passengers comfortably and still leaves room for luggage, normally enough for a family or four travellers with large suitcases. It has 5 doors, all-wheel drive and high ground clearance, so even a fully loaded car stays stable on the unpaved mountain roads common across Georgia.

Where can I pick up the car?
You can collect the car at our office on Tsereteli Avenue in Kutaisi, or receive it free of charge at Kutaisi International Airport (KUT), where the owner meets you in person and hands over the keys. On request we also deliver to any address in Kutaisi, whether a hotel, guesthouse or apartment.

What documents do I need?
You need three things: a valid driving licence held for at least 2 years, a passport or national ID, and a payment method. We accept cash and bank transfer in GEL, EUR or USD, with payment settled in lari at a fixed rate of about €1 = 3.10 GEL. No card deposit is blocked.

Is smoking allowed in the car?
No. All of our Subaru Foresters are strictly non-smoking vehicles, and the rule applies to every passenger for the whole rental period. That way the next guests receive a clean, odour-free interior. If you need a break on a long drive, simply stop somewhere safe and step outside the car.

Can I take the car outside Georgia?
No. Our vehicles may be driven inside Georgia only. They cannot be taken to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey or any other country, and the insurance does not cover cross-border travel. Within Georgia you are free to drive anywhere, including mountain regions such as Svaneti, Racha, Kazbegi, Martvili and Okatse.

What fuel policy do you have?
We use a same-to-same fuel policy. The car is handed over with a recorded fuel level and you return it with at least that same level, so there is no refuelling charge and no full-to-full penalty. The Subaru Forester runs on gasoline, and filling stations are widespread across Kutaisi and the main Georgian routes.
